Hall of Fame Inductees 2026

Our second Hall of Fame Inductions took place last Saturday at a well-attended function at Shottstown Miners. President Andy Penman welcomed the inductees and their families and friends to the night where Gordon Smith and Ronnie Black provided the entertainment.

Our 1970 Scottish Junior Cup Final team were inducted as a ‘team’ with Willie Hume, Willie Hogg and Brian McGarry receiving their awards from ex-president and Hall of Fame member John Fraser. Also in attendance were members of the families of the late John Thorburn, Ricky Reeve and Robin Stenhouse who accepted the awards.

The ‘stars’ of the 70’s and 80’s were also inducted for their ‘Outstanding service and achievements’ at the club and Keith Burgess, Davie Howieson and Stevie Mitchell were present to receive their awards from ex SFA Chief Executive Gordon Smith. Willie McGinley was on holiday but his brother David accepted the award on his behalf. The other inductee was Derek Winchester who was unable to make the event and we will present Derek with his award at the earliest opportunity.
