Club Statement

Unfortunately tonight’s scheduled Combined Challenge Cup tie against Auchinleck Talbot U20s has been called off. This is due to vandalism of the penalty spots, which quite frankly was a disgrace.

There was no issue with it last night at the completion of training, following use of by our Men’s, Women’s and U20s, and the issue wasn’t highlighted until arrival tonight. We then took all steps available as quickly as possible to try and ensure the match would go ahead but the referee deemed the fix couldn’t guarantee the safety of players and called it off on those grounds, which we have to respect.

We fully understand and share the frustrations of Auchinleck Talbot can only offer our sincerest apologies, and wish them a safe journey home.

We have faced issues with the Montgomery Park 3G since its opening, with previously the floodlights causing major issues and yet again we have been embarrassed due to damage done to a council-owned community facility which is poorly maintained and ignored amidst rising costs.
