Joe Viola returns to the Cuikie

We are delighted to confirm the return of forward Joe Viola from Tranent!

A member of 'the Famous' Penicuik High School double winning side in 2015, hometown boy Joe joined the Cuikie in 2019 and scored on his debut in the Scottish Cup against Easthouses Lily, before joining Hutchison Vale on loan where he helped them to win the First Division Conference A.

Following his loan spell, he came back to the club during the short 'Covid' season in 2020 but returned to Hutchison Vale permanently prior to the 2021/22 season. He spent three very good seasons there under our current boss Ryan Harding before making the move to Tranent and the Lowland League.

Whilst at the Belters, he played his part in them reaching the Scottish Junior Cup final and a fourth placed finish last season.

Our thanks go to Tranent for their assistance in getting the deal done. Joe goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's Scottish Gas Mens Scottish Cup tie against Kilwinning Rangers.
