Calum MacKenzie, Scott McManus to depart Penicuik Athletic U20s

We can confirm that co-Managers of Penicuik Athletic U20s, Calum MacKenzie and Scott McManus are leaving the club.

Both have been excellent coaches to our young players over the past few seasons and it is fantastic that they were able to sign off as the EOSDL East League Champions their hard work and dedication deserved.

Calum first joined the Cuikie as part of Willie McGinley's U20 management team during the 2022/23 season, also helping to take the first team alongside Stewart Shepherd and John Menzies on an interim basis towards the end of that campaign. He also served as a first team coach during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.

Scott was a another addition to the U20 management team ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, seamlessly fitting into the group and both men ablely led the U20s during Willie's absence that season.

They took on the role of co-managers of the U20s for season 2024/25 and they helped guide the lads to their first ever Cup Final, as well as a highest ever league finish of 2nd.

However their highlight must be this season's League winning side, with the young Cuikie finishing top for the first time in their history.

More importantly, they have helped fourteen players make their first team debuts, underlining just how crucial the U20s are to the future development of the club.
